A respected heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee roadway,
highway, and infrastructure construction projects throughout the Southeast and South-Central United States.
This role is responsible for daily field operations, crew leadership, safety, quality, scheduling, logistics, and
coordination with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and public agencies. The ideal candidate
has strong heavy civil experience and is comfortable traveling extensively to active project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Direct daily field operations for heavy civil roadway and highway construction projects
Supervise crews, subcontractors, equipment, and site logistics
Review plans, specifications, schedules, and construction requirements
Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and agency representatives
Ensure compliance with DOT requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards
Enforce jobsite safety policies and maintain a safe, organized work environment
Monitor productivity, manpower, materials, and equipment needs
Maintain daily reports, progress documentation, and other required project records
Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects moving on schedule
Company-paid lodging and per diem are provided for travel assignments.
