A growing Dallas-Fort Worth commercial construction company is seeking a Junior Estimator / Junior Project Manager to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional who has estimating experience and is ready to expand into project management.
The company specializes primarily in commercial interior construction, tenant improvements, renovations, and finish-out projects, coordinating multiple trades from preconstruction through project completion.
General Contractor experience is not required. Candidates coming from a commercial subcontractor or specialty trade will be considered. Experience estimating concrete, drywall, framing, landscaping, or other construction scopes can translate well into this position.
Key Responsibilities
● Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine
project scope
● Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare estimates for commercial construction
projects
● Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor pricing
● Assist with developing project budgets, proposals, and bid packages
● Review and compare subcontractor bids for scope coverage and pricing
● Work with subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and clients throughout the
project lifecycle
● Assist with project scheduling, procurement, material coordination, and cost
tracking
● Support change orders and project documentation
● Help identify potential scope gaps, cost issues, and constructability concerns
during estimating and project execution
● Transition awarded projects from estimating into project management and assist
with projects through completion
● Develop broader knowledge of commercial interior construction, including
drywall, framing, finishes, and related trades
Compensation
● $70,000 – $75,000 base salary, depending on experience
