The successful candidate for this position will have led financial reporting, accounting, audit, compliance and tax planning responsibilities for a small to midsized publicly traded O&G company in the E&P space. Responsibilities include GAAP, SEC and IFRS reporting and compliance as well as investor and Board presentations and reporting functions. Other related responsibilities are highlighted in the “Requirements” section below.


The ideal candidate will have between 5 and 15+ years of accounting and finance experience as a CFO in the Oil & Gas industry preferably with a small to mid-sized publicly traded E&P company. Viable candidates will have demonstrated accounting and finance and accounting leadership skills and willingness to take ownership of a broad base of corporate office responsibilities. Candidate must be hands-on and willing to get involved in the day to day nuts and bolts of back office operations.  Strong attention to detail and organization skills, coupled with high integrity and proven history to perform high quality work. Experience and track-record with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and high growth initiatives in the E&P space is required. Prior experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm will be considered a plus. Positive, open attitude with flexibility to work on different projects under different timelines. Compensation will depend on successful track-record and experience. The budgeted range will be between $150k to $185k base plus benefits and long-term incentives.
