DESCRIPTION

Established, Global, 70 year old business hiring for  a Senior Accountant / Analyst.

 

Work closely with the Senior Director of Finance to manage the accounting and financial

performance analysis of existing investments and when needed assist in the financial

evaluation of potential acquisitions.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

 Develop and maintain accounting policies for use across all investments while

also ensuring policies are in line with the parent company SEI.

 Develop and maintain financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits.

Develop and maintain various financial models and standard templates to ensure

quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.

 Assist with the coordination of financial statements prepared either internally,

by third party service providers or by subsidiary personnel to ensure timely and

accurate financial reporting to internal stakeholders, third‐parties, and SEI.

 Responsible for the timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting for

certain investment entities or holding companies within our Infrastructure

including the preparation of consolidated financial reporting.

 Responsible for the preparation of financial statements of certain entities within

the group and the coordination with the company’s external auditor’s review of

such statements.

 Create, build and analyze financial models.

 Support due diligence.

 Support the annual budgeting and planning process and administer the

submission of various periodic reporting requirements across our

Infrastructure businesses gathered from others.

o Budget/prepare financial projections of income (accounting and tax) and

cash flows for business units, investments or entities.

 Coordinate receipt and review of financial and tax information with and from

third party service providers.

 Assist Senior Director of Finance with forecasting, budgeting and variance

analysis and in providing accurate and timely financial reporting.

 Assist Senior Director of Finance in the coordination of year end audits among

multiple third parties.

Monitor variances and performance. Assist Senior Director of Finance with

providing trends and analysis.

 Assist with coordination of annual tax return compliance and supporting work

papers.

 Respond to inquiries from management of a financial nature.

 Research accounting and tax matters as requested.

 Assist Senior Director of Finance with performing industry analysis and research,

gather information and assist with the preparation of materials and

presentations.

 Special projects as assigned

 

Education and Qualifications

 BS or BBA in Accounting or Finance/MBA desired.

 Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required.

 5 to 7 years experience in financial analysis or accounting.

 Possess appropriate understanding/technical knowledge of accounting and

finance principles to be able to apply to the position (financial statements, NPV,

IRR, cost of capital, etc.).

 Strong data skills – data gathering, management and visualization.

 Strong computer skills; must possess advanced Excel skills; and be proficient in

PowerPoint and Word.

 Strong verbal and written communication skills.

 Demonstrated ability to think analytically.

 Ability to work independently with strong follow through, as well as work as part

of a small group.

 High level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize, handle multiple

projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines.

 Team player who possesses, demonstrates and works with a positive attitude

and excellent communication and interpersonal skills ‐ dealing in a professional

and ethical manner with coworkers and other entities.
