One fastest growing and most respected SBA lenders in the nation Is conducting a search for strong SBA 7a L enders / Business Development Officers.

Remote positions, nationwide.

Highly experienced and supportive management.

Base salary ranges typically from $80,000 to $110,000 and might go as high as $120,000 for an exception Lender.

Outstanding comp plan, Including an additional incentive for producing more than 10 loans per year.

Strong back office: exceptional underwriting, processing and closing support resulting in excellent turn times.

 

INCENTIVES SUMMARY:   

1.            Loan origination, annual tiers  – 7a/USDA – Up to 3.9M 1.25%, 4M-6.9M 1.5%, 7M-9.9M 1.75% and 10M+ 2%.

2.            Broker Fee – max of 2% if minimum rate pricing met.  Any amount greater than 1% paid to a referral shall be split 50/50 between BDO and Bank.  If not broker, BDO paid additional .25%

3.            Annual Volume YE Bonus – These are volume based and different tiers.  A sample of a pay out, if the BDO closes 21M in combined 7a and USDA during the year, the bonus would equal 75K.

4.            Loan pricing – Variable - 7-15 yrs. WSJ + 1.50%, 15-25 yr. WSJ Prime + 1.25%, 25 yr. WSJ Prime 1%. 

5.            An additional incentive for producing more than 10 loans per year

Must have thorough understanding of the bank’s credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Responsible for marketing banking services to SBA 7(a) loan eligible businesses

Must have thorough understanding of the bank’s credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages.

Bachelor’s degree preferred with at least 5 years+ of progressive selling opportunities.

Understanding and knowledge of the SBA SOP.

At least intermediate knowledge of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow. Strong credit skills preferred (but no formal underwriting duties required).

Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations.

Knowledge of bank policies and procedures, products and services.

Demonstrate excellent customer service via phone, email, and in-person and excellent communication and organizational skills.

High energy level and ability to sell to customers’ needs.

Ability to close, prospect and have strong sales planning skills.

Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software programs.

Responsible for the annual production of $8 million or more in SBA 7(A) loans.
