Growing company in the Hospitality/Restaurant industry is seeking a Staff Accountant.

The Staff Accountant position with this company is responsible for a variety of accounting functions.  Responsibilities include:

• Assume responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and propose necessary journal entries to support the balances.
• Analyze and manage information from 3rd party accounting group.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process.
• Prepare payments for accruing expenses, assigning account numbers, and requesting disbursements.
• Research accounts payable issues, communicate with vendors, and take any required corrective action.
• Assist in payroll processing as necessary.
• Participate in the financial set-up of new locations.
• Special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of job-related experience.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Restaurant or hospitality industry experience a plus.
• Experience with accounting systems, databases, and reporting tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• NetSuite experience a plus.
