DESCRIPTION

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all intercompany and labor-related accounting functions. This role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with two distinct but unified and dynamic accounting teams. Reports to Director of Corporate Accounting with direct collaboration with Director of Operations Accounting and Financial Compliance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Relay Human Cloud accountant resources, including, but not limited to, delegation of duties, daily workload management, ensuring quality control of work product, hiring, and training.

• Ensure all management company transactions are recorded on a daily basis; prepare weekly Cash Summary report for all high-volume cash transaction entities.

• Manage timeliness and accuracy of accounting for all payroll and labor-related transactions; identify and resolve any discrepancies or uncertainties.

• Review labor distribution reports to ensure bi-weekly and interim payroll journal entries for all locations are accurate and prepared on a timely basis.

• Supervise monthly intercompany billback process.

• Supervise preparation and review all Corporate bank and other balance sheet reconciliations; ensure adequate support is documented for all transactions.

• Collaborate with Financial Compliance Manager to review quarterly and annual payroll tax forms and reconcile combined payroll data between locations.

• Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.

• Oversee annual Form 1099 preparation for Corporate and Operations accounting teams.

• Provide general accounting support to both Accounting Directors, as needed; this could include other duties or projects requiring research, gathering data, analysis, etc., either individually or as a team.

• Demonstrate an adaptive and flexible work style effective for working with varied senior-level leaders, on-site team members, and off-site team members who are geographically dispersed.

 

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required; minimum of 5 years of advanced experience and/or managing accounting teams experience preferred; public accounting or payroll-related experience required.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge required.

• Must present a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.

• Must be a team player able to foster collaborative relationships across all business areas.

• Excellent attention to details and exceptional quality assurance skills.

• Must be flexible, adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Strong MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Quickbooks skills required; familiarity with Yardi preferred.

• Able to handle confidential material in a professional manner.
