Construction firm seeking candidates for Staff Accountant position
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Handle accounts payable processing: review invoices, prepare payments, monthly reconciliations and maintain vendor records.

Manage accounts receivable: generate invoices, follow up on outstanding balances, and maintain customer accounts. This person will be primarily responsible for all collections.

Process weekly payroll.

Project Accounting & Administration

Prepare and submit all AIA G702-G703 Pay Apps
-
Record journal entries and adjustments in QuickBooks.
-
Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
-
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
-
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and coding of transactions.

Respond to vendor and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
-
Support any financial review by providing requested financial information and documentation.
-
Assist with process improvements and system enhancements.

On-boarding/off-boarding employees
-
Managing Employee Benefits Enrollment
-
Other responsibilities assigned by the Controller.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop).

Solid understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
-
Familiarity of GC Systems e.g. Textura, Procore, GC Pay, etc.

Familiarity with Work in Process Accounting

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
-
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
