General Purpose: This Accountant position’s function is responsible for preparing and entering journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, analyzing and ensuring accuracy of data, and providing financial information for decision-making. This position also plays a crucial role in compliance, internal controls, and managing financial resources.
Essential Functions:

Prepare and analyze financial statements of multiple entities

Reconcile bank statements and perform general ledger account reconciliations

Prepare journal entries
-
Assist in the preparation of trend analysis and forecasting

Process Joint Interest Billing, collect A/R
-
Prepare schedules and financial statements for tax preparation
-
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts documenting business transactions

Review accounts payable coding
-
Perform special analysis and ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

2-4 years of public accounting or related industry experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
-
CPA highly preferred
-
Oil & Gas industry (or client) experience highly preferred
-
Cost Accounting / JIB experience desired
-
Experience handling multiple companies
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
-
Advanced Excel skills required
-
Experience with use of accounting systems, and ability to learn new systems quickly. Knowledge of Integra helpful, but not required.
