My client is is seeking a strategic and experienced Project Manager to lead our Higher Education sector. This individual will be responsible for managing our existing University IDIQ (As-Needed) contracts, ensuring high-quality execution of various task orders while simultaneously preparing the firm to compete for and win major capital projects. The successful candidate will serve as a primary liaison to university facilities departments and will play a key role in expanding their footprint in the higher education market through proactive relationship building and business development.
Key Responsibilities

IDIQ Contract Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of "As-Needed" university contracts, including rapid response to task order requests, fee proposal development, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent small-to-mid-sized projects.

Strategic Growth: Lead the technical and strategic effort to "gear up" for large-scale university projects, including the development of specialized workflows and team structures for major academic and athletic facility pursuits.

Business Development: Actively participate in marketing activities, interview presentations, and client outreach to secure new university accounts and expand services with current institutional clients.

Financial Coordination: Partner closely with the Accounting Team to oversee the monthly invoicing process, ensuring all project billings are accurate, submitted according to university-specific requirements, and aligned with project progress.

Collections Support: Work with accounting to monitor project reports and assist in resolving any billing discrepancies or delayed payments from clients.

Technical Leadership: Ensure all university projects meet rigorous institutional standards, Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), and campus-specific design guidelines.

Team Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Architects and Designers, fostering a collaborative environment that can scale from small renovations to large new-builds.
Qualifications Required

10+ years of architectural experience with a strong emphasis on Higher Education; specific experience managing IDIQ or Master Service Agreement (MSA) contracts is highly preferred.

Proficient in Revit / AutoCAD

Superior presentation and interpersonal skills necessary for university interviews and committee meetings.

The pay is based on experience:
