Babich & Associates is conducting a search for a Preconstruction Manager on behalf of an
established commercial general contractor specializing in ground-up retail and grocery
construction across Texas.
The Opportunity
This client bids competitively and does not pursue negotiated work. That distinction defines the
role. Preconstruction is not a supporting function here; it is how the company wins business,
and the person in this seat has direct influence on what the firm builds.
You will lead bid strategy, estimating, and buyout on large-format retail and grocery projects,
working closely with operations to set each project up before it starts.
The position is based full-time in the Irving office. There is no travel requirement.

Preconstruction professionals with genuine hard-bid depth are difficult to find, and our client has
held this position open rather than compromise on that requirement. If competitive bid work is
