Babich & Associates is conducting a search for a Project Manager on behalf of an established
commercial general contractor building large-format retail and grocery projects across Texas.
The Opportunity
The client’s projects run in the $40 to $50 million range, and their Project Managers typically
carry three to four concurrent jobs. This distinction matters. They are looking for a candidate
who has genuinely operated at that volume, not one who has managed a single large project at
a time.
The position is based in the Irving office with approximately 25 percent travel to jobsites. The
client uses site cameras, which provide real project visibility without constant travel, though
many of their Project Managers choose to be in the field more frequently than required.
Culture
This is a close-knit office. The client is direct about the fact that they do not operate with a
high-conflict management style, and they treat their trade contractors as partners. Cultural fit is
weighted heavily in their hiring decision alongside technical capability.
Interview Process
Hiring manager resume review, followed by a phone interview and an in-person interview. The
client moves quickly once a candidate is in process.
