We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Litigation Paralegal with 3 to 5 years of experience.
This role supports attorneys through all phases of tax controversies and litigation. The ideal candidate
manages case files, drafts legal documents, conducts tax research, and has deep knowledge of federal,
state, and local tax dispute procedures. This is an onsite role.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Trial Preparation: Maintain organized physical and electronic case files, manage
litigation calendars, coordinate trial logistics, exhibits, and notebooks, and attend hearings and trials to
assist attorneys.
Document Drafting & Review: Draft initial petitions, motions, and briefs; prepare routine
correspondence with tax authorities; review IRS administrative records for key details; and edit and
proofread complex legal documents.
Discovery & Information Management: Manage the discovery process from start to finish, draft
interrogatories and requests for production, organize and analyze voluminous financial records, and
utilize e-discovery platforms for document reviews.
Research & Authority Liaison: Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis, retrieve tax
guidance, regulations, and case law, communicate with the IRS and state agencies, and file documents
via electronic courts, including U.S. Tax Court.
